Steve Medeiros, president of the Massachusetts Association of Realtors, says he and other realtors are seeing a pickup in buyer demand this month. Bloomberg Radio's Denise Pellegrini reports.

Denise:

This is your Bloomberg Real Estate Report, I'm Denise Pellegrini, you know the slowdown that people are saying they've been seeing in the housing market over the summer months. Well, some say that slow down maybe over already


Steve:

That’s kind of a typical thing in the summer where it goes down a little bit, and then you see a pickup, pick back up in September, and we're already starting to see that.


Denise:

Steve Medeiros, President of the Massachusetts Association of Realtors says he's been comparing notes with other realtors and they're saying the same thing, a pickup this month, now that vacation season is over.


Steve:

They all said that, you know, they saw things slowed down a bit, they saw a lot of people saying ‘oh I want to pull off, move on vacation’, people that were looking that were buying, kind of putting a pause on saying ‘hey I'm gonna do this, I'm gonna do that’ because I think the summer came and they wanted to get out and do things that cooped up for a bit. And then, now they've seen a lot more activity, there's been an increase in showing activity and listening activity
